We designed the blockhead welding tip after repairing many headlight tabs that have "waffle" tabs and headlight tabs that have gussets. The squared edges help to shape the gussets and "waffles" giving you a better, insurance-quality appearance to the repair. It's not just for headlights, though. Anytime you need to sharp edge, use the blockhead tip.
Headlight Gussets
The narrow, sharp edge allows you to shape and smooth inside of headlight gussets.
Headlight Waffles
This tip is ideal for shaping and smoothing headlight "waffle" tabs, too.
Narrow Spots
This is the narrowest tip that we offer and it allows you to get into tight spots that our other tips won't go.
Melting in mesh
The blockhead tip works great for melting in reinforcing mesh into corners.

Will this tip fit into my soldering iron that I already have?
It is very unlikely that this tip will fit into your existing soldering iron. The threads on this tip are 12/24 NPT (National Pipe Taper)
From what type of metal is this tip made?
This tip is cast brass, which is a mixture of copper and zinc. There is no lead in our brass and is, therefore, ROHS compliant.
