This video demonstrates a plastic weld repair on a cracked Sea-Doo® Switch hull made from Polytec™ (a polypropylene and glass-fiber blend). The primary damage consists of two cracks totaling approximately 45 inches in length. Although this example shows extreme damage that should only be repaired by trained individuals, the same general technique also applies to smaller and more common cracks.
For reference, the replacement hull for this particular boat was quoted at around $15,000, making repair a far more economical option.
