Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic welding rod is used when welding low-density polyethylene plastic.

LDPE is used in automotive parts such as fluid reservoirs and inner fender liners. Outside the automotive industry, it is used in kayaks and canoes, ATV and dirt bike fenders, playground equipment, and agricultural water and fertilizer tanks. Polyethylene is very waxy, so it is virtually impossible to get quality repairs using adhesives. Welding is the best repair method for polyethylene.

Each welding rod measures 12 inches (30 cm) in length.
