Nitrocell Nitrogen Generator

The Nitrocell Nitrogen Generator provides a continuous supply of nitrogen for plastic welding. Featuring cutting-edge proprietary membrane separation technology, the Nitrocell separates compressed air into two streams: one delivering nitrogen with purity levels of 97%–99%+, and the other consisting of oxygen, carbon dioxide, water, and other gases. The purified nitrogen is directed to the plastic welder for thermoplastic welding, while the remaining gases are vented safely to the atmosphere.

The robust filtering system ensures only clean air reaches the nitrogen membrane. Filter maintenance is minimal, requiring replacement only when contamination occurs or annually with daily use. A magnetic access door allows for quick and easy filter inspections.

The Nitrocell generator is a valuable addition to any hot air welding system using compressed air or nitrogen, as it eliminates the need to purchase nitrogen bottles. With no moving parts or electronics, it is one of the most reliable and straightforward nitrogen generators on the market.

Why Choose the Nitrocell Nitrogen Generator?

  • Converts 105 PSI of compressed air into a continuous 20 LPM supply of 97%+ pure nitrogen
  • No electrical or moving parts
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Easy to install and maintain
  • Heavy gauge powder-coated steel housing
  • One year warranty (void if membrane is contaminated with oil, water, or other contaminants, or if membrane has suffered other physical damage)

System Requirements

  • Clean, dry, and oil free compressed air supply
  • Hot air or nitrogen welder requiring compressed air to operate
  • A welding cart with a back height of 35” and a bottle tray 10.5" x 10.5" minimum

Instructions

  1. Connect the generator to a clean and dry 90 to 150 PSI compressed air supply. Connect the generator outlet to the plastic welder inlet fitting.
  2. Check filters daily for contaminants. If dirty, purge the air supply lines going to the generator and rectify the problem before reconnecting the generator. Open the drains of the filters inside the cabinet until the contaminants are removed from the filter. Note: Warranty void if membrane contaminated with oil, water, or other contaminants, or if membrane has suffered other physical damage.
  3. If using the Nitrocell Generator on a welder equipped with both air and nitrogen (the 6053, 6057, or the 6059 welders), purge the air from the nitrogen lines before starting your initial weld.
  4. The higher the inlet pressure and the lower the outlet flow, the purer the nitrogen supply will be. See chart for details. Up to 150 PSI air can be used safely

Installation Tools Required

SAE socket or combination wrench set
