urethane bumpber from a f-pace svr just wouldnt blend so it didnt stick , whent back to Crest ridgid red ..... I do like the welder thos i will use it over a soldering gun that I have used the last 40 years ;)

The issue with your bumper is that urethane is a thermoset material, so it won’t fusion weld the same way polypropylene does. The polypropylene welding rod included with the kit you purchased isn’t compatible with urethane, which is why you were having trouble getting the repair to blend and stick.
For urethane bumpers, you’ll need R01 welding rod along with a slightly different repair technique. If you’d like, please reach out to us at 256-638-4103. We’d be happy to help you get the right rod and walk you through the process so you can get your bumper repaired!

This was my first attempt at welding plastic, and was glad I chose this welder. Still figuring it out! I like the ability to add the filler plastic thru the middle of the welder.
