Bumper Rollers for Dent Removal
Bumper Rollers
These Bumper Rollers simplify the process of removing dents and reshaping plastic bumper covers after a collision. The kit includes three heavy-duty rollers: a wide flat roller for large areas, a ball-shaped roller for contours and curves, and a sharp-edged roller for restoring precise body lines.
Other uses for the Bumper Rollers include removing dents in sheet metal and for pressing sound deadening material into place.
Why Choose the Bumper Rollers?
- Efficient Dent Removal: Simplifies the process of reshaping plastic bumper covers after a collision
- Heat-Assisted Shaping: Designed for use with a heat gun—rollers help reestablish shape while plastic is softened for easier manipulation
- Three Specialized Rollers: Wide flat roller smooths large areas, round roller follows curved surfaces, and sharp-edged roller helps restore body lines
- Minimizes Filler Use: Proper reshaping often restores the original contour with little or no filler required
- Versatile Use: Also effective for refining sheet metal from the backside or pressing down sound-deadening pads to eliminate air bubbles and improve adhesive contact
- Durable Build: Heavy-duty rollers and a sturdy handle stand up to repeated use in collision repair environments
How to Use
- Heat the bumper with a heat gun or infra-red lamp until the dented area is hot and pliable, taking care to not over-heat the bumper.
- Select the roller that best fits the desired final contour.
- Roll the main part of the dent out, then continue to work around the perimeter of stretched areas as needed.
- Sand the outside of the bumper to identify high and low areas and repeat the process as needed until the desired shape is achieved.
