FiberFlex Plastic Welder

The FiberFlex Plastic Welder includes everything needed to repair "problem" plastics. FiberFlex is a “universal” repair rod that sticks to nearly any plastic substrate. It sticks great to polypropylene and TPO (often used on bumper covers). Instead of creating a fusion weld, FiberFlex works like a hot-melt adhesive.

Why Choose the FiberFlex Plastic Welder?

  • Universal Repair Rod: FiberFlex welding rod adheres to nearly any plastic substrate
  • Ideal for Bumper Plastics: Bonds exceptionally well to polypropylene and TPO, commonly used in bumper covers and other automotive parts
  • 200-Watt Airless Welder: Delivers consistent, even heat to easily melt the welding rod and embed reinforcing mesh
  • Precision-Shaped Tip: Specially designed tip spreads and shapes FiberFlex smoothly, and easily reaches into corners and tight spaces
  • Stainless Steel Reinforcing Mesh: Provides added structural strength by embedding mesh into the repair

It works pretty well as intended. I found that repairs without stainless steel mesh aren't nearly as durable. Works better on some plastics than others as expected. Temperature regulation is pretty good but sometimes I wish the tip were hotter.

I have a 2500 poly tank that had about a 4” crack, it had been poorly previously repaired, didn’t hold. I bought the kit, cleaned the area, drilled holes in each end of the crack, melted in the stainless mesh, then covered the mesh in two layers of the included sticks. Worked perfectly, extremely strong. Probably took 15 minutes. Tank is full, and not leaking.
