POM is a plastic with high strength, hardness, and stiffness over a wide temperature range. In the automotive industry, POM is used in parts like door handles, speaker grilles, and window winders. It is also used in applications where chemical resistance is necessary, such as fuel pump housings, fuel rails, fuel caps, and more.

POM (an abbreviation for polyoxymethylene) is also known as acetal, polyacetal, and polyformaldehyde.
