PPE+PP+GF30 (PPX)
This plastic alloy began appearing on automotive parts around 2020. This PPE+PP blend also goes by the brand name Noryl PPX and was developed by a company called Sabic. The alloy of polyphenylene ether (PPE) and polypropylene (PP) is an engineering thermoplastic olefin that combines the flowability and chemical resistance of PP with PPE's high-temperature performance, surface hardness and rigidity. These properties make it ideal for use in automotive applications. If you see "PPE+PP" or "PPX" symbols on a part, this is the welding rod you need. Our PPE+PP welding also has 30% glass fibers. If you have a broken PPE+PP part, it may have markings like "PPE+PP+GF15" or "PPE+PP+GF20" or some other number next to "GF". Whatever number follows the "GF" is the percentage of glass fibers that is in the PPE+PP blend. Since PPE+PP+GF30 is the only glass-filled PPE+PP that we offer (for now), this would be your best option whenever you have a broken, glass-fiber reinforced PPE+PP part.
This is the 30 foot (9.1 M) package of "PPE+PP+GF30". Each rod measures 12 inches (30 cm) long and 1/8 inch (3 mm) in diameter and there are 30 rods in a pack.
