Polyvance provides hands-on training courses that will help you properly identify, repair, and refinish automotive plastics. Polyvance's training organization is accredited by ASE-ATMC as an adult education provider and is an approved I-CAR® Industry Training Alliance® program training provider.
Our courses are recognized by I-CAR's Industry Training Alliance® program. Students who successfully complete these approved training are eligible to apply for I-CAR credit hour(s) and/or Knowledge Area recognition.
PR-01 — Introduction to Nitrogen Plastic Welding

PR-04 — One Day Plastic Repair & Refinishing
Description | Our PR-04 One Day Plastic Repair & Refinishing course is designed to prepare a student with basic body shop knowledge and skills to understand the complete process of repairing and refinishing a plastic bumper cover. The majority of focus will be placed on PP-blend bumper covers, but the course will also touch on PUR (thermoset polyurethane) bumpers and other plastic parts, such as headlights and washer bottles.
This course will be a condensed version of our two-day course offered at the factory. This course is intended to be delivered in the customer's place of business, so the facilities for instruction will not be as complete. After we receive your training request and payment, Polyvance's training manager will discuss scheduling and logistics with you and provide you with an estimate of travel expenses. |
EPR-01 — Estimating Plastic Repair
Description | Estimating Plastic Repair is an online, self-paced course designed to educate collision damage estimators and technicians on determining the repairability of damaged plastic parts. The course is designed to educate someone with no prior knowledge of plastics or the repair of plastics to the point where they can confidently discuss the differences in plastic types and repair methods with technicians, and to be able to quickly determine whether a damaged plastic part is a candidate for repair or if it should be replaced.
