TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin) is sometimes referred to as TEO (thermoelastic olefin). TPO is a mixture of Polypropylene and a tiny amount of thermoplastic rubber, which gives the plastic better paint adhesion and flexibility. Olefin plastics are those waxy feeling plastics that tend to smear when sanded at high speed. They also tend to get "hairy" when you grind it, or saw it. It is used more and more often in automotive applications. Most plastic bumper covers are made from TPO. This TPO plastic welding rod is extruded into a 90-degree, V-shaped profile that's 1/4" (6.4 mm) on each of the sides. These rods are very convenient when welding flanges on bumper covers or any other time that you need to weld 2 pieces at a 90 degree angle. This package contains 1 pound (0.45 kg) of TPO corner welding rods. Each rod is 1 foot (30 cm) long and 1/4th inch (6.4 mm) on each side. There are approximately 148 rods in 1 pound (0.45 kg).
