Black Waterborne Primer Surfacer for Automotive Bumpers
Polyvance’s ALL SEASONS BLACK JACK is a satin black, easy-to-sand, freeze-tolerant primer surfacer for plastic bumper refinishing. The high build formula hides 180 grit sanding scratches and is compatible with all automotive topcoat systems. BLACK JACK dries quickly to a smooth satin OEM-like finish that your customers will love. Right out of the can, Black Jack offers superior solvent resistance, water resistance and durability. Optional: for even better performance, BLACK JACK may be crosslinked with 3104 Catalyst at 5% by volume.

- BLACK JACK offers outstanding water resistance. If speed dried at 180°F for 20 minutes, BLACK JACK may be wet sanded in one hour. BLACK JACK will not lift if inadvertently exposed to water after it has completely dried.

- Compatible with all common single-stage and base/clear automotive topcoat systems.

Application:
- Prepare surface by cleaning with 1000 Super Prep, then 1020 Scuff Magic Prep Soap and a red scuff pad.
- Anywhere raw plastic is exposed, spray 1050 Plastic Magic Adhesion Promoter, allow to dry.
- Stir BLACK JACK. Apply a medium wet coat with a base coat gun using a 1.2-1.6 mm nozzle. Ready to spray right out of the can. No additional water needs to be added, but if desired, BLACK JACK may be diluted with water to lower the spray viscosity. Orange peel disappears as it dries.
- Allow to dry between coats. BLACK JACK may be top coated at any time after it has completely dried. Dry time varies depending on temperature and humidity; allow at least 60 minutes at 72°F (22°C) or 20 minutes at 180°F (82°C). Sand with 400 to 600 grit sandpaper immediately prior to top coating.
- Clean spray gun with water, then rinse with acetone.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many bumpers can I spray with a gallon of primer?
The number of bumpers per gallon depends on how many coats of primer are applied. For an average sized bumper, you will be able to spray about 30 "coats".
- 1 coat of primer per bumper = 30 bumpers per gallon.
- 2 coats of primer per bumper = 15 bumpers per gallon.
- 3 coats of primer per bumper = 10 bumpers per gallon.
- 4 coats of primer per bumper = 7.5 bumpers per gallon.
