Is There a Way To Identify Unmarked Plastic?

It's no secret that Polyvance leads the industry in nitrogen fusion welding technology. Fusion welding is the strongest, fastest, and least expensive way to fix thermoplastics, but it does require identification of plastic type. You can't weld steel with an aluminum rod likewise you can't weld polypropylene with a nylon rod. Plastic ID is essential when fusion welding.
Most parts have the ID symbol molded in, but sometimes it's not. We've uploaded a short demonstration to our YouTube channel that shows the process of performing a weld test to identify the type of plastic when you can't find the ID symbol.
