How to Replace the Hot Air Heating Element on the 6180 Mini-Fuzer

If the 6180 Mini-Fuzer is not getting hot and the temperature readout has a low number starting with a zero that doesn’t increase, the welder’s heating element is burned out. The heating element can be replaced by opening the handle, desoldering the burned-out element from the board, and resoldering a new element in. Polyvance has released a video showing the replacement process.

Polyvance’s new 6144 Compression Roller reduces the finishing time and improves the strength of plastic welds by smoothing and compressing the joint between the plastic filler rod and the base material. The Compression Roller can also be used to improve the appearance of back-side welds and increase the speed with which reinforcing mesh can be embedded into a repair.

The Kenworth T880 set-forward front axle hood is susceptible to damage of the strut mounts. The hood is made from fiberglass which is not weldable. New Product: Kenworth W900 Long Hood Spring Pocket Repair Kit

Polyvance is announcing the new Kenworth W900 Long Hood Spring Pocket repair kit. The Kenworth W900 hood is notorious for breaking where the hood support springs mount. The hood is made from an unreinforced thermoset material called Metton which is not weldable. Polyvance's KENW900LSP repair kit is much less expensive than a replacement hood and will also create a repair that is stronger than the original since the spring load is spread out over a much larger area.

A bolt hole on this dirt bike fender had been ripped out. Luckily, this type of damage can be easily repaired with Polyvance’s ATV Pro airless plastic welder. Polyvance’s ATV Pro welder comes with either polypropylene welding rod or polyethylene welding rod in the round 01 profile. This fender is made of polypropylene, so selected the polypropylene rod to match.
