Here is an example of a typical crack on a motorcycle fairing. | ![]() |
Starting from the backside, grind away the paint surrounding the damage. This will give the PlastiFix a better surface to bond to. | ![]() |
Cut a piece of fiberglass cloth (not included with the kit) that will span and overlap the crack. Place the cloth in place after it has been cut. | ![]() |
Sprinkle some PlastiFix powder over the fiberglass cloth... | ![]() |
Drip the PlastiFix liquid onto the PlastiFix powder... | ![]() |
Allow time for the Plastifix to cure before working on the reverse side. | ![]() |
Using a Dremel® tool, grind a V-groove along the crack line. | ![]() |
Sand away the paint surrounding the crack line. This will allow a better bond with the PlastiFix | ![]() |
Fill the V-groove with PlastiFix material using the dropper method. | ![]() |
After allowing plenty of time for the PlastiFix to cure, sand the area smooth. | ![]() |
